IT Werks Is Helping
Edwin is one of those people who quietly makes life easier for everyone around him. Whatever needs doing, he shows up, gives it his full attention, and cares about getting it right. We’ve seen that every day during his four years with IT Werks, and we feel lucky to know him.
He works hard for his family. Seeing their home badly damaged is personal to us, because we know the person behind these pictures. Edwin has given us so much of his time, care, and energy. Now we want to put some of ours behind him.
IT Werks is contributing to the rebuild, and we’re asking our clients, friends, and family to join us. When donations open, we’ll need money to help pay for the repairs. Until then, follow along, share their story, and lend your encouragement. It means something to know people are with you.

What the Earthquake Left Behind

Their Home in Pereira
This is Edwin and Valentina’s family home in Pereira, Colombia. The earthquake left it badly damaged. The family is waiting for a qualified structural engineer to assess what is safe. Until then, no repair plan or safety promise can be made.
Damage outside the Home
The damage outside the home shows how seriously the building was affected. Cracked and damaged areas are visible around the family’s home. The next step is trusted local guidance and a professional assessment. Repair work should begin only when it is safe to do so.

Inside the Home
Rubble remains inside the home after the earthquake. It shows why the family needs a careful, safe path forward. A qualified structural engineer must first assess the building. We will share the real repair needs once that assessment is complete.
Damage above the Home
The damage above the home makes the need for a careful safety assessment clear. No one should enter unsafe areas for photos or repairs. The family’s safety comes before every other step. We will follow the advice of a qualified structural engineer.

Edwin and Valentina’s Story
Edwin and Valentina are at the centre of this story. IT Werks is helping them share real progress as it happens. That includes the assessment, the builder’s quote, the repairs, and the work completed. Donations are not open yet, but people can follow and share their story.
What Happens Next
First, a qualified structural engineer will assess the home and explain what is safe. Then a local construction professional will look at the repairs, identify what must be fixed, and give us real costs. After that, we will buy the needed materials and work through the repairs one wall at a time. We will share honest email updates as each step moves forward.
